In 2014, I was all like, hey, I have a Long Island hip-hop website, and hey look, here's a Bumpy Knuckles album Premo produced in 2012 hey, you know what I should do, I should post this Premo-produced Bumpy Knuckles album to my Long Island hip-hop website. I fucked up, like a sucker, like a sucker who's also a butt licker to hear Freddie Foxxx tell it. That's because Kolexxxion was but one of two projects Bumpy and Premo did in 2012. They also did an EP called StOoDiOtYmE with six songs, none of which appear on their full-length album from that year. But I didn't know that. I certainly didn't know the last of those songs, "Inspired By Fire," was for the children. Now I do.

As you can tell from the cover art, "Practice" comes from The Kindling EP, which I believe dropped back in 2012 or so. For something more current, check out 2015's Triangle Overnight EP.

God Genes: Tahmell - The After Effect / Fam First Unisgned Hype

So Tahmell is basically Jesus Christ ... kidding, but you know what I mean. Born in Central Islip, raised in Stamford, Connecticut, but rooted in Wyandanch, he released several mixtapes around the beginning of the decade but has been mostly quiet over the past few years, just popping up on a track here and there. Rodan - Amerikkkan Inquisition Mixtape

Of the Monsta Island Czars' many unique voices, Rodan's always stood out, so it's somewhat surprising that his solo discography consists of just one LP, one EP, one 12" and rarest of all, one mixtape. You'll find fans across the net asking each other about this release, but if anybody actually has it they're not telling. For now, all we have is a 20-song tracklist (below), a cover (at left), and a handful of songs that were posted in 2010 and 2012. With nothing more to go on, we've taken the liberty of zipping up the seven streaming songs that match titles from the tracklist*. Each of these was ripped from the RONOMICAL YouTube channel. Roc Marciano - "Stop Me" (Prod. by Just Blaze)

The fact that Roc Marciano's sophomore LP Reloaded is no worse off for not including this Just Blaze banger only speaks to that album's flawlessness. As a matter of fact, one of the things that was so ill about that release is that few of the loose tracks leading up to it appeared on the final product. Don't get me wrong: all of these loosies were great in their own right, but the album was all the better for consisting almost entirely of fresh material we hadn't heard before. Leaky rap labels, take notes.

DJ Premier & Bumpy Knuckles - Kolexxxion

Since DJ Premier and Royce da 5'9" just announced a new project called PRrhyme, and it's being promoted as "the first time that DJ Premier has been part of a group since being ½ of the legendary Gang Starr," now seems as good a time as any to post Kolexxxion, a collaborative studio album by DJ Premier and Bumpy Knuckles a.k.a. Freddie Foxxx, which came out almost exactly 30 months ago, on March 27, 2012. While the above quote still holds true, as Premo and Bump weren't technically 'a group,' at least not in the sense of having a group name, we shouldn't forget about this prior collaboration, which, as you can tell from the photo, dates back quite a long time. After all, Freddie Foxxx was a part of the Gang Starr Foundation and is perhaps best known to some for his show-stopping verse on "The Milita," a personal favorite.
